A very nice long, old, Aboriginal Snake Totem, part of a recently purchased collection of items originating from Port Keats in the late 1970s - early 1980s and made by Aboriginal Artist Leon Malpi. Realistically hand carved with a beautifully rhythmic flowing shape, decorated in traditional dot painted designs in natural pigments representing scales. Head has inset eyes and a carved mouth. Excellent size with an eye-catching design, this piece would look great on display. Underbelly has the very slightest surface wear but otherwise this item is in excellent collectable condition.
