Mago

A Mago is the term for an Aboriginal didgeridoo used by the clans of Western and North Central Arnhem Land and areas west and south west of Darwin in Australia's Top End. Typically, a mago is more cylindrical in shape than a yidaki, it has rich harmonics and the toot is not often played.

We always have a very large collection of good old used & new magos in stock, click on the PDF for more detailed information & images of instruments currently available!

Some people have been disappointed when buying online; the images looked great from the angle and even the proficient player made it sound amazing. However, it really is a very personal choice in finding the right instrument which will comfortably fit your lips and and with which you will dance together on your own journey... So call us & try before you buy! We have the biggest and best selection of high quality traditional Aboriginal instruments outside of Australia!
