'These Yidaki from Ramingining, north-central Arnhem Land typify the fusion
of styles between East and West Arnhem Land which has created fine playing
instruments with sweeter, more articulate overtones and much easier toots
than a mago! Whilst the instuments are commonly called yidaki by the art
centres, there are some who have taken to referring to the blend of styles
as a Yimago.' |
