Djalu

This is reckoned to be the biggest yidaki from Yirrkala arts centre in memory and probably the biggest made by Djalu.
At first glance you might be mistaken for thinking this very tall, natural wood finish yidaki was pitched in a low key of B or similar,
it is however in the key of D!
The higher key is largely attributable to the tall thin neck which also gives this Djalu yidaki excellent back pressure.
Fantastic easy to reach deep base fog horn toot, with two easy-to-hit higher toots just above.
A real collector's item and great fun to play, whether contemporary or traditional style!
